The Birdwatching Group enjoyed a trip to Nutfield Marshes on 7th February. They were guided by Michael, an old friend of the group who works for Surrey Wildlife Trust.
We enjoyed a circular walk around the reserve and saw 39 species of birds including a wigeon, several snipe and a Greater Spotted Woodpecker at the top of a tree.
The recent rain meant that part of the walk was waterlogged so most of the group wore wellington boots and we had to paddle though several puddles to complete the circuit.
